The ASEAN Business Seminar was held by ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre successfully


  On May 17, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law convened the ASEAN Business Seminar of ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre of SHUPL Law with Dacheng Law Office LLP (Shanghai) in Meeting Room 4, 24/F, Shanghai World Financial Center. The meeting was conducted by Mr. Jiacai Tan, Minister of ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre of SHUPL, Partner of Dacheng Law Office LLP(Shanghai), Director of the ASEAN Legal Practice Department, and Dr. Dana Yang, Vice-Minister of ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre of SHUPL. Present at the meeting were Mr. LEE Yew Weng, Malaysian Consulate in Shanghai, Commercial Counsellor, Mr. Guangxin Liang, the Vice President of Malaysian Commerce, Mr. Yingji Chen, Director of Maybank (Shanghai), Ms. Bo Yuan, Department of Commerce International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute, the Institute of Asian and African Studies ASEAN and South Asian Studies, Prof. Wei Wang, Assistant to the President of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Pro. Zhengmao Ni, Vice president of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law Institute of Applied Social Sciences, Honorary Director of ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre of SHUPL, Mr. Chenyao Wu, Executive Director of Dacheng, Ms. Xinli Yan , Deputy Executive Director of Dacheng, Ms. Rongrong Liu, Senior Partner of Dacheng, Director of the Dispute Resolution, teacher representatives of  Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and lawyers in Dacheng Law Office LLP (Nanning, Kunming, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei).

 

  The seminar was divided into three parts. Firstly, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law held the signing ceremony in Law and Dacheng Law Office LLP (Shanghai), and respectively held the inauguration and opening ceremony for ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre of SHUPL and "The ASEAN Legal Website". Secondly, experts and professors of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law discussed with our lawyers about the ASEAN legal practice, and introduced the thesis seminar about ASEAN legal issues. Thirdly, in the period of interaction, guests exchanged views and discussed about ASEAN legal academic research and legal practice with each other. 

 

  During the session, each professor, scholar and lawyer made wonderful speeches, fully discussing the difference of the environmental protection and Food Safety Law between China and ASEAN. In the meantime, guests exchanged information about ASEAN investment, information publication, and sports management with each other. The meeting strengthened the cooperation relationships between our Dacheng Law Office and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and expanded our research on ASEAN legal business and the direction of development. The seminar has a significant impact on the cooperation among ASEAN Comparative Law Research Centre of SHUPL, Sports Law Research Centre and us in the future.
